Custard Apple Surprise


For the filling
1/2 cup pulp of custard apple
3/4 cup cup khoya {mawa}
3 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence

For the covering
1 cup thin flattened rice{nylon poha}
3/4 cup sugar
1 and a half tablespoons of ghee
2 cups of milk
1/2 cup khoya
A few strands of saffron
crushed silver foil {varakh} for decoration [optional} 

For the filling
Mix all the ingredients together and put on the stove.Stir constantly till it thicken and leaves the sides of the vessel.Cool.
For the covering 
Clean and wash the poha and mash. Melt the ghee in vessel add poha and stir for few minutes then add the milk sugar and khoya and simmer till it become very thick and leaves the side of the vessel
Add the saffron mix well and remiove from the stove divide into 15 balls.
Flatten each portion of covering place filling in the center and roll into a round ball.Decorate it with silver foil on top.You can put each ball into a small butter paper cup.
