SOUTH INDIAN TWIST

HARI  IDLI  DHAHI-WALI
      {GREEN IDLI WITH CURD}


Preparation Time: 15 mins.Cooking Time: 30 mins.
 serves 6-8

Ingredients :
                 
1 packet ready made idli mix-200 gms.
1chopped spinach
3 green chilies
salt to taste
2 cup curd beaten
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2teaspoon cummin seeds
2 green chilies chopped
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
A few curry leaves

Method:

Make a paste with the spinach and 3 green chilies.Add it to the idli mix and soak according to the instructions on the packet but with little less water.Add a little extra salt for the spinach.
Steam the green idlis in a mini molds {if you don't have mini molds then use what ever mold you have and then cut that idli in 4 pieces like we cut pizza} 
Beat the curd with little salt.Place the idlis on serving plate.Pour the curd evenly over them.
Heat oil;add the mustard seeds and cummin seeds when they stop sputtering,add the green chilies  
and curry leaves.After 1/2 minute pour this over the idlis covered with curd.sprinkle coriander leaves. 

PREPARE THIS DISH AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE IT IS TIME TO SERVE

IF YOU DON'T  WANT THIS DISH  TOO MUCH SPICE THAN AVOID CHILIES IN BATTER OR ADD LESS CHILIES. 

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO USE READY  TO MADE    MIX THEN TAKE 1/2 KG OF IDLI RAWA AND 1 CUP MEASURE OF WHITE U RAD DAL. SOAK U RAD DAL AT LEAST FOR 2 TO 3 HOURS THEN GRIND IT . WASH RAWA 2 TO 3 TIMES THEN ADD DAL IN RAWA KEEP IT A SIDE FOR AT LEAST  4 TO 5 HOUR THEN FOLLOW THE STEPS AS ABOVE
